Under the force of a hydraulic press, a high-strength aluminum billet is extruded into a hollow cylinder in a single operation. The top end is then necked-in and precisely threaded, forming a fully integrated cylinder body with no welds. This cold extrusion method ensures uniform wall thickness and a compact structure, while naturally generating a dense oxide layer for excellent lightweight and corrosion-resistant properties—ideal for the safe storage of high-pressure gases.
ZX’s aluminum cylinders can be produced to meet multiple international standards, including ISO 7866 and DOT-3AL, and are certified under TPED, TPE, and DOT schemes, fulfilling global compliance requirements for seamless aluminum cylinders. - All raw materials are batch-identified and undergo chemical analysis upon receipt to ensure traceability and consistency
- After forming, each cylinder undergoes heat treatment with furnace temperatures fully monitored and recorded via a digital system to ensure required mechanical properties.
- Every cylinder is subjected to 100% hydrostatic pressure testing and 100% ultrasonic wall thickness measurement to eliminate potential defects
- Physical and chemical tests are carried out on each batch, including tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, hardness, and chemical composition analysis, to ensure full compliance with design specifications.
